In 1941, it contained the Jewish Hospital, which had been moved here from Skawińska Street.

Despite very modest equipment and a lack of medications, it was known for good-quality service and devotion of its physicians. The hospital had 120 beds, but due to overcrowding it was common to put two patients in one bed. During the ghetto's elimination (13th-14th March 1943) all patients and the personnel were executed in the courtyard of the building.
