HANDSHAKE project - Bicycle safety checks in Kraków

Bicycle safety checks in Kraków organized between August and October 2020, were among the activities undertaken within the project. They were based on the similar and very successful campaign that has been taking place in Munich for many years. Thanks to this new project Kraków’s residents could benefit from free professional bike safety check services performed by bicycle mechanics from the Go Ride company. Almost 550 people who visited the temporary  bike maintenance shops could also have small repairs done (adjusting brakes and saddle, applying bike chain lubricant). Each person received a comprehensive information about the repairs that might be needed to ensure bikers’ safety. Bicycle safety checks were offered for 8 days in in four different locations and attracted many Krakovians so the project will be continued in the following years.
