Norwegian royal couple visits Krakow
King Harald V of Norway and Queen Sonja are visiting Krakow today, thus ending their official three-day visit to Poland.

On 11th March 2011 northeast Japan was hit with the most powerful earthquake in 140 years. The magnitude 9.0 (M w ) earthquake triggered a devastating tsunami wave and a nuclear disaster in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the gravest nuclear disaster since Cherrnobyl. At least 21 thousand people are dead or missing.
10th Sacrum Profanum Festival
Sacrum Profanum presents 20th century music but has already earned the status of one of the most interesting musical events in Europe. Its rank is structured upon the participation of the most highly praised ensembles performing contemporary music, including Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien, Theatre of Voices, Asko|Schönberg, London Sinfonietta, and musikFabrik.
Krakow - still in the game!
Krakow is the most wonderful city in Poland and one of the twenty most beautiful cities in Europe. Our city made it to the second phase of the New7Wonders Cities competition, ahead of Lisbon, Monte Carlo and Vienna. In the first phase, the largest number of votes in Europe went to Naples, Paris and Rome. From among all the cities in Poland, only three made it to the second phase: Krakow, Warsaw and Katowice.
