Belgian National Day
Today, Belgium is celebrating its National Day marking the establishment of the constitution monarchy.
On 21st July 1831 Leopold I (1790-1865) took his oath as the first King of the Belgians. During his 34-year reign King Leopold I devoted his efforts to consolidating the young state.
On this occasion we would like to extend to the citizens of our twin city Leuven and all Belgians wishes of joyful celebrations and all the best!
