Women who built Kraków. New outdoor exhibition
The open-air exhibition Women Who Built Kraków, which has been on display in front of the Wyspiański Pavilion on All Saints' Square since March, is an attempt to remind us of the extraordinary women's input in our local architecture. Come and see it!
The 20th century development of Kraków would not have been possible without women: architects, urban planners and designers who, against all odds and barriers, created town houses, iconic buildings, parks and even entire housing estates! Unfortunately, many of them have been forgotten - their contribution to the creation of the city has been overlooked and passed over in silence for decades. And yet we pass the buildings and places they created every day. Every day, thousands of residents and tourists enjoy women's designs without giving a thought to their origin.
The open-air exhibition Women Who Built Kraków, which has been on show in front of the Wyspiański Pavilion since March, is an attempt to remind us of this extraordinary female side of our architecture. See it at Plac Wszystkich Świętych, in front of the Wyspiański Pavilion.
