National Day of Denmark

On 5 June the Kingdom of Denmark celebrates Constitution Day. It is the most important national holiday and marks the signing of Danish Constitution in 1849 and establishing the constitutional monarchy and the bicameral parliament.

The most important event on the Day is the speech delivered by Her Majesty Queen Margaret II. For the Danes the Constitution Day is an opportunity to relax and spend time with their families and friends.

Happy Grundlovsdag!
