Independence Day of Finland

National Day of the Republic of Finland marks the anniversary of Finland's declaration of independence from Russia adopted by the Parliament on 6^th December 1917.

Finns have a meaningful tradition of placing two burning white and blue candles by the window on the Independence Day.
