We change for you
Have you noticed how our website has recently changed? The new refreshed layout is consistent with the Visual Identification System of our city and contemporary trends in web design. There is also a much more important task to be fulfilled, namely to increase digital accessibility of the website so that it is more useful and functional for people with disabilities.
The change process is aimed at adapting Kraków Open City vortal to the WCAG standard (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) version 2.1, defines how to make Web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Contrasting colours, bigger font, better photos! People who are blind can access our content by using a screen reader. We would like our website to be more transparent, visually attractive and responsive, so that it can be easily viewed on a mobile phone or other mobile devices.
Our mission is to present Kraków’s multifaceted international cooperation to its residents, visitors and all other Internet users. We write about interesting international events, projects, we present Kraków’s partner cities and international organisations which the city has joined.
The number of users and visits to our website is growing systematically. In November 2020, we recorded a three-fold increase in interest among Internet users compared to the previous year. Thank you for following us!
