The latest edition of Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations 2015 yet again listed Krakow as number 9 among world's 100 best outsourcing destinations. Simultaneously, Małopolska's capital remains Europe's best location for outsourcing businesses.
Asian cities proved to be Krakow's fiercest competitors, whereas Warsaw and Wroclaw were listed respectively as numbers 32 and 62. Krakow's top score results form consistent investment policy and the adopted standards of business promotion.
Over the last year, 6 thousand new workplaces were created in Krakow's services sector. Currently, almost 100 business services companies present in Krakow employ 38 thousand people working for clients in 94 countries and using 36 languages. The total value of the business services sector in Krakow amounts to PLN 4, 655 mln (source: Aspire market survey 2014). The companies located in Krakow keep growing and evolving towards more advanced processes and services.
According to forecasts, the sector will see continued growth. It is estimated that in 2015 the number of local employees in the sector will amount to 40 thousand. In early 2016, the number is expected to reach 45 thousand (source ASPIRE IT & Business Services Centres Timeline, 1993-2014).
