Talowski Underpass and railway viaduct

ul. Lubicz, Kraków

Lubicz Street used to intersect with a railway track, which caused increased traffic.

It was decided, therefore, to lower the street level and build a viaduct over it. Thus, the first two-level transport solution in Kraków was implemented.

The technical part of the project was developed by Teodor Talowski, an engineer from Kraków, and the whole plan was carried out between 1896 and 1898.
