On a chilly Tuesday morning of 26 March 2013 Mayor of the City of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski warmly welcomed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Poland H.E. Samuel Wodi Jimba.

On 22 February 2013,  in the 15th year of Krakow and Innsbruck’s partnership,  Eugen Sprenger - Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Tyrol and Hilde Zach - former Mayor of Innsbruck (posthumously) were awarded with Knight’s Crosses of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

On February 28th, Vice Mayor of Krakow, Tadeusz Trzmiel met Ambassador of Luxembourg to Poland, H.E. Konrad A. Bruch, The. Ambassador’s second visit to Krakow was connected with the official inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Luxembourg in our city.

The Historical Museum of the City of Krakow is the only museum in Poland recognized by the business sector and listed as a Forbes Diamond 2013 – a title awarded to companies with the biggest value increase.

On February 5th 2013, Stephen Mull Ambassador of the United States of America, accompanied by Consul General Ellen Germain, paid his first official visit to the Mayor of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski.

Galeria Krakowska is organising an international competition for one of the largest murals in Poland. Both Polish and foreign street artists will have over 1400 sq. m. of surface area at their disposal. Their task will be to create an artistic work on the façade of Galeria Krakowska facing the railway station. The MALL WALL ART mural competition is open for all.

Marek Lisánsky, Consul General of the Republic of Slovakia, talks about the 10th anniversary of the General Consulate in Krakow, Krakow-Slovak relations, fighting stereotypes, professional success, personal inspirations and all the fields which still need attention.

Krakow will bid to become a candidate city to organize Winter Olympic Games in 2022. „The government is determined to support this candidacy [...]" – said Minister of Sport Joanna Mucha on Polish Radio Trójka on 21 January.

On Wednesday, January 16th HE Fabian Valdivieso the Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to Poland decorated the Mayor of Krakow with Sol de Oro (Golden Sun) – the highest order awarded by the Vice-President of Ecuador.

On Monday 17 December 2012 Jacek Majchrowski, Mayor of the City of Krakow, met with HE Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson Ambassador of the Republic of Iceland. The first visit of His Excellency to our city was connected with the appointment of Janusz Kahl to the position of Honorary Consul of Iceland in Krakow.
