WINTER #DIRECTfromKRAKOW

During the night from Saturday to Sunday (October 27-28), we switched our watches to winter time, and the airline industry started the winter season 2018/2019. Passengers of the Krakow airport will now be able to take advantage of the offer of 100 #DIRECTfromKRAKOW connections, including nine new ones.

- In the winter season, more connections to Ukraine and Amman Jordan are popular. Transavia, with its connection to Eindhoven, Laudamotion to Vienna and Blue Air to Turin are just such examples of new winter offers. For the first time, the offer will  also include a popular passenger connection to Cyprus, as well as the latest offers of the summer season, such as the connection of LOT to Budapest and the connection of flydubai to Dubai. What is more, KLM has increased the number of seats offered on the connection to Amsterdam, said Radosław Włoszek, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Krakow Airport.

Air carriers at the Krakow Airport

During the winter season 2018/2019, 20 airlines will offer connections to the capital of the Malopolska Region: Austrian Airlines, British Airways, BlueAir, Brussels Airlines, easyJet, Israel’s airline EL-AL, Eurowings, flydubai, Finnair, Jet2.com, KLM, Laudamotion, LOT, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Ryanair, SWISS International Air Lines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Transavia and Ukraine International Airlines.

In the winter season 2018/2019, the Krakow airport offers 100 connections with 85 airports in 27 countries on 4 continents.

New offers for the winter season

As early as at the beginning of October, Transavia inaugurated flights to Eindhoven in the Netherlands. On October 28th, another new carrier, Laudamotion started connections to Vienna. A day later, easyJet inaugurated flights to London Luton - it is the fourth London airport offered by the Krakow Airport.

On the same day, Ryanair launched flights to Amman and Kiev. From October 30, Lviv will join the new offers as a base carrier. On November 9th, Jet2.com will start flying to Leeds Bradford, in December, Blue Air will launch connections to Turin, and on February 25th , LOT will expand its offer of flights from Krakow to Tel Aviv.

Passengers will be able to take advantage of the connections: Dubai (flydubai), Budapest (LOT) and Helsinki (Norwegian), which were inaugurated in the 2018 summer season. For the first time in the winter season, connections to Cyprus (Ryanair) will remain available, which were previously only available in the summer season. The winter season means the return of flights to Eilat, Israel (Ryanair).

Direct from Krakow, 20 airlines offer flights to the largest airport transfer airports in Europe as well as to Dubai and Chicago. KLM offers three flights daily to Amsterdam - from there you can go farther, for example to South America and the Caribbean. British Airways flies daily to the largest airport in Europe: London-Heathrow. SAS Scandinavian Airlines offers connections to Copenhagen and Stockholm, and from there, using the carrier's network, you can continue your journey to interesting destinations in the Northern Hemisphere. Finnair and its connection to Helsinki are distinguished by the possibility of the shortest trip to Asia. The network of carriers associated in the Lufthansa group, i.e. Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and SWISS International Air Lines, enables travelers to take advantage of the wide range of airport connections in Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich. Brussels Airlines is known for flights to Africa via the Brussels airport, while Norwegian offers flights from Scandinavia to North America. Thanks to the merger of flydubai and the agreement of this carrier with the Emirates airline, passengers can take advantage of, among others, flights to Australia, New Zealand and Zanzibar.

LOT offers direct flights from Krakow to Chicago, using a transfer in Warsaw, you can use LOT's offer for connections to, for example, Asia, and when traveling from Krakow through Budapest, you can go to New York and Chicago.

New #DIRECTfromKRAKOW routes

The routes that have already been announced by carriers for summer 2019 are Ryanair connections to Hamburg and Bordeaux, Laudamotion to Stuttgart and Jet2.com announced the launch of a connection to Glasgow in the next winter season.
