2018 Patrons of Polish Congresses

As a result of changes introduced this year to the Regulations of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme, during this year's Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors, for the first time, besides the Ambassadors, Polish Congress Patrons will be honoured as well.  The award for the Polish Congress Patron is a form of honouring and appreciating the role of a sponsor supporting a meeting or event being organised.

The award for the Polish Congress Patron is a natural complement to the title of Polish Congress Ambassador. A congress ambassador lobbies for it and needs financial support for the event whose organisation he or she is supporting. The new award for the Congress Patron is a form of honouring and appreciating the role of a sponsor supporting a meeting or event being organised. The entities which have the right to nominate candidates for the honorary title of the Polish Congress Ambassador or the Polish Congress Patron are organisational units of the Polish Academy of Sciences, universities and higher education institutions, scientific associations and organisations, cultural institutions, economic organisations, NGOs and local government organisations, the Polish Tourism Organisation, the Polish Conference and Congress Association, members of the Chapter, municipal/regional Convention Bureau, as well as people previously honoured with the title of the Polish Congress Ambassador.

The title of 2018 Polish Congress Patron was awarded to:

1. The ADAMED Group for supporting the congress of the Polish Society of Vascular Surgery and educational activities carried out as part of partnership with the PSVS,
2. Fortum Power and Heat Polska Sp. z o.o. for supporting the Open Eyes Economy Summit – an international congress of the economy of value.

The Chapter presented the special distinction of the 2017 Polish Congress Ambassadors' Gala Patron to Concept Music Art Sp. z o.o. for providing technological and logistic support for the event and creating a comprehensive concept of a multimedia setting referring to the works of Stanisław Wyspiański.

A meeting with this year's winners will take place in Poznań during a solemn Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors on 27 September in the Poznań Congress Centre Poznań International Fair.
