3rd International Congress of Ethics in Tourism in Krakow

You are invited to the 3rd International Congress of Ethics in Tourism which will be held on April 27-28 at the ICE Congress Center in Krakow. The World Congress of Ethics is a cyclical event organized by the World Tourism Organization (UWNTO). The previous edition of the Congress was held in Ecuador in 2012.

2017 is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism Development. Consequently, the Congress will address issues related to global sustainability in planning, governance, corporate social responsibility, conscious consumption, universal access, and effective models for managing natural and cultural resources in tourism. Discussions will be divided into four main panels and will be crowned by the signing of the Global Code of Ethics in Tourism by Polish entrepreneurs. A detailed program will follow shortly.

The following persons will participate in the event: the Minister of Sport and Tourism Witold Bańka, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Dawid Lasek, the UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai, ministers of tourism from the UNWTO member countries, presidents and board members of leading tourism companies, representatives of local governments, science and business.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a United Nations specialized agency whose mission is to promote responsible, sustainable and widely accessible tourism. The UNWTO members comprise 158 states, 6 territories and more than 400 institutions. Poland is a founding member of the UNWTO.

The Congress is organized by the World Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the European Commission with the support of the City of Krakow.
