The Geological Museum of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Jagiellonian University is mostly known thanks to its two unique collections: Sedimentation structures by Professor Stanisław Dżułyński and Trace fossils by Professor Marian Książkiewicz.

The entire Geological Museum of the Jagiellonian University contains around 200 collections, nearly 15,000 items, mainly fossils, 16,000 mineralogical items and 27 collections of cuts, which are mostly complementary to the rock collection.

The permanent educational exhibition involves:– dynamic geology– mineralogy– other expert exhibitions.
