Museum of Armed Deed

Foundation from Małopolska called Veteran's House – Museum of Armed Deed.

The museum contains showpieces (weaponry, documents) from the Silesian and Wielkopolska Uprisings; equipment, uniforms and decorations of the Polish Army from the Second Polish Republic and World War II, including guerilla troops and insurgency. Moreover, the museum houses 21 banners of militant and veteran organisations, such as Piłsudski's Legions; Silesian Insurgents and a banner made by the inmates of camp Mauthausen-Gusen.

The museum also contains urns with the ashes from battlefields of the Second World War, Katyn and concentration camps.

The task of the museum is to spread knowledge in Nowa Huta and the whole city by cooperating with schools and other educational institutions. The collected materials are used to compile biographies of war participants, which are to be published in Zeszyty Historyczne.

Apart from collecting and storing historical mementos, the foundation also supports Polish veterans.
