2007 AWARDS OF THE ROYAL CAPITAL CITY OF KRAKOW
Every year since 1994, the Krakow Municipality has handed out individual or team awards for outstanding achievements in three areas:
1/ science and technology - to honour the authors of the most interesting scientific, research, editorial, design or construction-related works, new solutions of technological processes and for the implementation of such achievements in Krakow;
2/ culture and art - to honour outstanding achievements in literature, theatre, music, plastic arts and film production in Krakow and for promotion of the Krakow culture and art in Poland and abroad;
3/ sport - to honour sports athletes and sport activists for outstanding achievements in Europe and world championships and in the Olympic games, for setting records at such competitions, and for remarkable contribution to the development and promotion of the physical culture in Krakow.
